Mid Ulster Cars provide funding for complementary therapy at Macmillan Unit, Antrim

Mid Ulster Cars was delighted to present The Macmillan Unit at Antrim Area Hospital with a cheque for £1500 to fund additional complementary therapy at the unit.

The funding has been provided through the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow which provides grants to Toyota Centres’ to support community initiatives.

The Macmillan Unit at Antrim Area Hospital provides specialist palliative care beds within the NHS in Northern Ireland and is an essential service for people living with advanced, progressive and incurable conditions and provides support to their families.

At present, the Macmillan Unit has a small group of volunteers trained to provide complementary therapy. These qualified therapists offer reflexology and aromatherapy and massage to both patients and carers in the Macmillan Unit. Complementary therapy can help people cope with the symptoms of the disease and its treatments, aid relaxation and reduce tension and anxiety.

The benefit of such therapy is supported by research evidence and the feedback received in the Unit is very positive. To provide such therapy to patients on a more regular basis The Macmillan Unit needs to train additional volunteer therapists. Mid Ulster Cars applied to the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow on behalf of the Macmillan for funds to support this training and was delighted to be awarded £1500

Mid Ulster Cars Ltd is an appointed representative of ITC Compliance Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (their registration number is 313486). Permitted activities include advising on and arranging general insurance contracts and acting as a credit broker not a lender.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes Toyota Financial services. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to Toyota Financial services, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to be make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and Toyota Financial services also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
